Dr. Patrick O’Neil - Director of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - BlackSky
Dr. Patrick O’Neil currently serves as the Director of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at BlackSky. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development of novel, space-based monitoring capabilities. With extensive technical expertise in statistical modeling, deep learning, and mathematical modeling, Dr. O’Neil has spent his career building artificial intelligence solutions for remote sensing. Additionally, Dr. O’Neil sits on the advisory board for the George Mason College of Science and is a member of the Center for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (CMAI) at George Mason University. Prior to working at BlackSky, he performed research at GeoEye and SPADAC before pursuing his Ph.D. in mathematics.
